Calnaga's Funny Car Brake, Wheel, and Tire System are a matched set giving you unusually high detail in 1:25 scale. Brake rotors have holes for wheel studs and the wheels have holes in the lug nuts enabling removeable wheels, a very unusual feature in 1:25 scale. The rotors are also matched to realistic calipers so your chassis detail looks great with wheels off. The kit includes the brake handle and the master cylinder. Wheels are your choice of Halibrand slot mags or Cragar Super Tricks. To top it off, you get a pair of Calnaga's realistic funny car 16" tires with your choice of lettering.
Brake Handle, Master Cylinder, Brake Rotors, Brake Calipers, Wheels are 3D printed. 3D printed parts are supplied on the supports. Tires are cast in white resin (painting suggestion shown)
This is an advanced skill level kit. Rotor wheel stud holes are to be sized with 0.020" drill. Lug nut holes in wheels are to be sized by drilling in two steps, 0.020" and 0.023" for best results. Studs are to be CA glued into the rotor stud holes, cut and deburred by light sanding.
The caliper is sized so that the brake rotor can rotate through it. The bracket holds the caliper on center for a 0.125" axle housing. The rotor has a 0.063"/1/16" hole on the backside to fit typical kit steel rod axles. Rotor diameter is 11" in scale.
10" of soft 26AWG/0.018" dia. wire provided for wheel studs.
Intermediate modelers may chose to glue the wheels to the rotors, but the removeable wheel feature will be lost.
