70's Dirt Bike
1:25 Scale Twin Shock Suzuki
$40.00
The 70's Dirt Bike features detail far superior to the 1:25 accessory bikes offered in old Revell and MPC kits. The twin shock, long travel suspension Suzuki has a separate frame, engine, seat, tank, fenders, number plates and other details. The all-original CAD design is a combination of Suzuki TM 400, RM 370 production bikes, and Roger DeCoster's RN 370 factory race bike. Realistic knobby tires and spoked wheels are accurately scaled 21" in the front and 18" in the rear. The seat is cast in white resin and the tank is black so you can sand off paint to reveal sharp lettering. Includes a work stand and provision for a kick stand. Front Forks are stainless steel tubing, supplied in the kit. Includes instructions. 3D printed parts supplied on supports. Seat, Tank, and Tires are resin.
This is not a kit for beginners or those with little 3D printed part experience. The parts are designed for quality assembly, but they should be fit checked and may require some sanding for perfect fit as with most production injection molded kits. Experience with 3D printed parts is highly recommended as some parts are very fragile and will break if forced. You will also need a pin vise and micro drill bits for chasing assembly pin holes as well as steering head, swing arm, and axle holes. The payoff for your effort and care is a highly detailed and realistic dirt bike model in 1:25 scale unlike any you have seen before. It's a unique subject that brings back the early years of MX bikes.
Don't get me wrong, this is a really cool kit. Our mission is to make your modeling projects more satisfying and fun to build, but if you are not a pretty good modeler, you won't be satisfied.
