Akront aluminum rims include a tall rib on both sides for strength. They were popular on dirt bikes, street bikes and even some dragsters in the 60's and 70's. Calnaga's Akront rims are 1:12 scale replicas cast in high strength resin from machined aluminum masters. They have pilot holes cast in to drill for 36 spokes, valve stem, and rim locks. There is a groove around the outside diameter for spoke lacing wire. Two rims are included representing an 18" rear and 21" front. (Actual dimensions: 1.550" and 1.820" O.D.). These were used on Steve's replica of the Steve McQueen "On Any Sunday" Husqvarna.
