Oil Tank, Dry Sump
$3.00
A dry sump oiling system uses a separate tank to store the oil, rather than the oil pan of the engine. This allows the crankshaft to spin freely without creating oil windage and saves precious horsepower. It also allows for a shallow oil pan that enables a lower engine and better handling car. Dry sump systems are used in F1, NASCAR, Indy Car, and drag racing. The late Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins was a pioneer of the use of dry sump systems in NHRA Pro-Stock. We recommend Pro-Tech braided lines and fittings to complete your system.
